PATULOY na isinusulong ni Kuya Kim Atienza ang mental health awareness bilang pagpupugay sa kanyang anak na si Emman, na pumanaw noong October 22 ng nakaraang taon sa edad na 19.
Sa unang anibersaryo ng pagpanaw ng dalaga, ibinandera ni Kuya Kim sa Instagram page ng Better Days ang isang liham para sa anak, kasabay ng paggunita sa “Better Days: A Youth Mental Health Caravan,” isang programang naglalayong magbigay ng kaalaman at suporta sa mga kabataang Pilipino.
Kabilang sa mga dumalo sa event sina Dani Barretto, Pepe Herrera, at Maxene Magalona.
Naghandog naman ng pagtatanghal sina Jerald Napoles, Kim Molina, Jeffrey Hidalgo, at Geneva Cruz.
Nakiisa rin ang asawa ni Kuya Kim na si Felicia.

Sa liham para sa anak, ibinahagi ng TV host ang kanyang pangungulila, pati na rin ang nararamdaman niyang saya sa kabila ng lungkot nang malaman niyang maraming kabataan ang nakakakuha ng lakas mula sa kwento ni Emman.
“To my Emmansky, We miss you. So much,” bungad ng TV host.
Wika pa niya, “Thousands of young people gathered for BETTER DAYS, and as I looked around, all I could think of was you.”
“Yesterday, we celebrated your life, your advocacy, and the little kindness you inspired us to share. And you know what touched my heart most? There were young people who looked up to you, who found courage in your story, and who were reminded that their lives matter,” patuloy niya.
Mensahe pa ni Kuya Kim, “I wish you could have met them. I wish you could have seen how your light continues to reach people you’ve never even met.”
Umaasa si Kuya Kim na sa pamamagitan ng Better Days, mas maraming kabataan ang makadarama na hindi sila nag-iisa at magkakaroon ng lakas ng loob na humingi ng tulong.
“Love doesn’t end when someone leaves us. Sometimes, grief becomes a mission, and little kindnesses become the reason someone finds the courage to keep going,” dagdag niya.
Sa kabila ng pangungulila, ipinahayag ni Kuya Kim na mas malaki ang naiwan na pamana ni Emman kaysa sa sakit na dulot ng pagkawala nito.
“Your life is so much more than the way we lost you. Your story is bigger than our grief, and your legacy is more powerful than we could ever imagine,” sambit ng ama ni Emman.
“On your first death anniversary, I want the world to remember not only that we lost you, but that we were blessed to have you,” patuloy niya.
“Until we see you again. Keep dancing in heaven. We will keep the music playing here,” pangako ni Kuya Kim.
