#TheBigStory | In a social media post, the wife of Sen. Ronald dela Rosa, Nancy, stressed that Filipinos should be tried in their own country.
Senator Dela Rosa is facing arrest for his involvement in former
president Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs. The International Criminal
Court issued the arrest warrant against the senator on Nov. 6, 2025.
“Please
do not be an accessory to bringing my husband to the Hague. Every
Filipino must be tried in his own country. Granting the people in power
permission to voluntary surrender another Filipino is an admission that
you are weak and incapable of handling this case, thus the need for an
international court to intervene,” Nancy wrote in a Facebook post on
Monday, May 25.
Nancy also called on fellow Filipinos to support her appeal. “Laban ko to para sa asawa ko. Pero laban nating lahat to para sa bawat Pilipino at para sa ating bayan,” she added.
