SSS CEO & President Robert Joseph de Claro announced yesterday that they will start offering SSS loans for qualified members to fund the installation of their home solar panel system.
Here are the initial details of this new SSS loan program;
* Qualified members are those with a monthly salary credit (MSC) above Php 20,000.
* Financing for residential solar panel systems is payable for a maximum of seven (7) years.
* The loan program will start this September 2026.
SSS has yet to release the full operational guidelines but we will update this story once we get more information.
The Energy Sustainability Loan Program was patterned after the earlier program of GSIS. The Government Service Insurance System offers the GSIS Ginhawa Solar Energy Loan. It provides active government workers with up to Php 500,000 at a 5% annual interest rate, payable over 5 years.
