Basketball star Kai Sotto and actress Rere Madrid surprised netizens as they officially tied the knot.

On May 27, Rere shared an Instagram video of their wedding. The ceremony took place in Alfonso Cavite and was officiated by Mayor Randy Salamat.
“Still feels unreal that we finally get to call this day ours. (Mr & Mrs Sotto),” she captioned her post.
“First, we want to thank God for this wonderful blessing we experienced this year. Even though we went through challenges, misunderstandings, and people who tried to break what we had, we still chose to trust each other. Because of that, our relationship became even stronger, together with the love and support of our families,” she added.
She also expressed her gratitude to their respective families and siblings for their love and support, as well as everyone who contributed to the wedding and made it even more special.
“Now, we’ll continue chasing our dreams together, hand in hand,” she wrote. “We are beyond grateful to all of you for helping us create memories we’ll cherish forever.”
Following this milestone, fellow celebrities and fans alike congratulated the happy couple.

The pair is said to have been dating since 2024.
Rere Madrid is the younger sister of actor Ruru Madrid. Meanwhile, Kai Sotto is a professional basketball player and the son of former PBA player Ervin Sotto.
