The easterlies are expected to bring cloudy skies and rain showers over parts of the country on Monday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
According to its 24-hour-weather forecast issued at 4 p.m. on Sunday, the easterlies are expected yo bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, and Palawan.
Likewise, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms might be experienced in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in the said areas.
Further, winds across northern Luzon are expected to be light to moderate, and will move southeast to northeast. For the rest of the country, the light to moderate winds will move east to northeast.
The maximum temperature recorded, based on data from the PAGASA Weather Station in Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City, reached 35.2°C at 2 p.m., while the minimum dropped to 24.2°C at 5 a.m.
