Naging mainit ang talakayan sa pagitan ng beteranang broadcaster na si Ces Drilon at ng legal counsel na si Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, ang dating singer na si Atty. Jimmy Bondoc.
Kaugnay ito sa nangyaring putukan sa loob ng Senado noong Mayo 13, 2026 at sa warrant of arrest na inilabas ng International Criminal Court (ICC) laban kay Dela Rosa.
Ito ay kaugnay ng alegasyong “indirect co-perpetrator” ang senador sa kasong crimes against humanity ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Patuloy na nagtatago si Dela Rosa mula nang pumuslit ito sa Senate building noong Huwebes, Mayo 14, 2026, para hindi siya maaresto ng mga awtoridad na tumutugis sa kanya.

May kinalaman sa warrant of arrest na inilabas ng ICC laban kay Dela Rosa ang paksa ng panayam ni Ces kay Jimmy sa The Big Story, ang news program ng One PH, kahapon, May 20, 2026.
Pinag-uusapan sa social media ang kanilang balitaktakan dahil tila hindi matanggap ni Ces ang mga sagot ni Jimmy sa kanyang mga tanong.
Nagsimulang magkainitan ang dalawa nang kuwestiyunin ni Jimmy kung bakit hindi sa Pilipinas kasuhan si Dela Rosa dahil naririto raw ang lahat ng testigo at ebidensiya.
Tanong ni Ces, “Sino po ang gusto niyong tanungin namin, out of fairness, kung bakit hindi dito sa Pilipinas lilitisin ang kaso? Sino po ang gusto niyong tanungn namin?”
Sagot ni Jimmy, “Ang gobyerno po, kasi this is the people of the Philippines…”
Naputol ang pagsasalita ni Jimmy nang sumingit si Ces.
Paalala ng broadcaster, sinabi noon ni dating Justice Secretary at ngayo’y Ombudsman Boying Remulla na hindi kaya ng ating gobyerno ang pagsasampa ng kaso laban kina Duterte at Dela Rosa.
Ito raw ang dahilan kaya sa ICC dumulog ang pamilya ng mga biktima ng madugong drug war noon ng administrasyong Duterte para makamit ang hustisya.
Sabi pa ni Ces, “Hindi ho kaya dito.”
Sagot ni Jimmy, “Bakit po? Ah, nung isang araw po…”
Singit ulit ni Ces: “Bakit mo ako tatanungin? This is their own statement and precisely why there is an ICC.
“I don’t know why you’re framing it as demolition of Philippine sovereignity when this is, we’re talking of the international community here.”
Mariin namang iginiit ni Jimmy na hindi na bahagi ng ICC ang Pilipinas.
Saad niya: “We’re not part of the ICC, Ma’am, I beg you to understand. We’re not part of the Rome Statute anymore. We withdrew and that was affirmed in the Pangilinan vs. Cayetano case…”
Paglilinaw naman ni Ces: “May I say also, Attorney, the crimes indicated were before we withdrew from the Rome Statute.”
Pagkontra ni Jimmy: “Yes, but there is a very long discussion about continued cooperation.
“It is not part of continued cooperation to serve an ICC warrant. Let’s assume, argumento, na nasa Rome Statute pa tayo, Ma’am, ha. Let’s assume, ha.
NOOD KA MUNA!
“Meron pong proseso sa Article 58 at saka sa Article 59 ng Rome Statute kung papano po mag-serve ng warrant.”

THE CONTROVERSIAL ICC WARRANT OF ARREST
Tinangka ni Ces na muling putulin ang sinasabi ni Jimmy, “Oo, alam ko po yun…”
Ngunit ipinagpatuloy ni Jimmy ang kanyang pahayag: “Ma’am, sandali lang. This is very important, Ma’am.
“Meron pong batas na Rome Statute, meron din pong regulations of the court. And in the regulations of the court… nakalagay po dun kung paano mag-serve ng ICC warrant, which they did not follow.
“And the key phrase there is ‘personal service.’ Kailangan po may personal service upon the accused, which they did not do.
“What did they do? They brandished it on social media and on media without serving us.
“Humingi po si Senator [Alan Peter] Cayetano. Humingi po kami bilang legal counsel…”
Tila hindi na nakapagpigil pa si Ces kaya muli niyang pinutol ang pagsasalita ni Jimmy.
Sabi ng broadcaster: “I just like to point out, because he was running in the stairs and, you know, even tripped. They were trying to serve the warrant on him.”
Mariin muling pagkontra ni Jimmy: “No, they were not. They are not in possession of the warrant. They admitted that.
“In fact, Melvin Matibag [National Bureau of Investigation director] said to Cayetano that ‘we will give it to you.’ And then sabi niya, ‘Hindi, sa Tuesday na lang.’ And then, ‘next time na lang…’
“They did not serve us the warrant.”
Sa puntong ito ng panayam ay mapapansin na ang makahulugang pagngiti ni Ces sa mga pahayag ni Jimmy.
Magpapatuloy pa sana ang abogado sa kanyang sasabihin, ngunit pinutol na siya ni Ces.
Diretsahan nitong tanong: “What is important is why Senator Bato left the supposed protective custody of the Senate to go missing? Yun po yung issue, bakit hindi po niya harapin? Yun yung, in the end, the most important question.
“He showed up to vote to unseat… to cast his vote for Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as [senate] president, who was behind our withdrawal from the Rome Statute. He was foreign secretary then, correct?
“And then to go missing after? It’s unbecoming, to say the least.”

JIMMY BONDOC ON SERVING WARRANT OF ARREST ON CLIENT BATO DELA ROSA
Nilinaw ni Jimmy na si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang tunay na may desisyong kumalas ang Pilipinas sa ICC.
Mag-a-argue pa sana si Ces pero dahil sa kawalan ng oras ay humingi na lang siya ng maikling “final explanation” mula kay Jimmy.
Pero humaba muli ang kanilang balitaktakan matapos marinig ni Ces ang pahayag ni Jimmy.
Sabi ni Jimmy, “We’re just waiting for the government authorities to serve us, personal service po, nung warrant.”
Pagkontra ni Ces, “Papano po, e, kung wala na nga… kung missing na nga si Senator, paano ise-serve?”
Sagot ni Jimmy, That is the purpose of the lawyers, Ma’am.”
Isang mapanuyang tawa ang reaksiyong pinakawalan ni Ces sa sagot ni Jimmy.
Napansin ito ng abogado ni Dela Rosa kaya sabi niya, “Ma’am, I hope you don’t ridicule us.”
“I’m not! You’re saying you want the government to personally serve but he ran away,” mabilis na depensa ni Ces, na tila na-stress dahil hindi katanggap-tanggap para sa kanya ang mga paliwanag na naririnig niya mula kay Jimmy tungkol sa isyu ng pagpuslit ni Dela Rosa.
Nakatanggap naman ng matinding pambabatikos mula sa netizens at maging sa law practioners ang sinabi ni Jimmy na, bilang legal counsel ni Dela Rosa, maaaring sila ang tumanggap ng warrant of arrest mula sa ICC at sila ang mag-serve nito sa kanilang kliyente.
“Abogado po kami. Abogado naman kami, puwede naman po sa amin,” sabi niya.
Tinanong ni Ces kung ilalabas ba nila si Bato kung sakaling mai-serve ang warrant sa kanila.
Sagot ni Jimmy, “Well, I can’t assure that because I’m not Bato.
“But, of course, we will definitely serve the warrant on our client.
“Kasi po, ayaw nilang sundan yung sistema, following the law you’re invoking… dadaan po sa proseso…
“Pag dumaan na po sa tamang proseso, in competent judicial authority, then puwede na nating pag-usapan ang pag-appear ni Senator Bato.”
Hati ang reaksiyon ng publiko sa mainit na talakayan nina Ces at Jimmy, ngunit lumalabas na wala pa ring malinaw na sagot tungkol sa mainit na isyung pinag-uusapan ng taumbayan.
