The device brings a brand-new Nebula HDR Display with a 7.4-inch OLED panel. It also features the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, with ample performance and the latest tools like Auto SR upscaling, as well as XBOX mode for easy navigation and gaming. The ROG XBOX Ally X20 features translucent black plastic for the chassis; it harkens back to a distinct era of gaming that veterans will remember fondly. This translucence lets you peek under the hood and see the high-performance cooling system and handheld silicon from AMD, with just a bit of the gold-accented internal structure. Crafted exclusively for the 20th anniversary of the formation of ROG in 2006.
Premium hardware upgrades
The ROG XBOX Ally X20 features a first-ever OLED display, measuring 7.4 inches with a Nebula HDR Display that offers a fast 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium Pro support, and peak brightness of 1,400 nits, enhancing HDR performance. It has a VESA DisplayHDR 1000 rating, full Dolby Vision support, and a 0.2ms response time for vibrant and fast visuals. The display’s Corning DXC glass and anti-reflective coating reduce glare by 65%. To address the higher heat sensitivity of OLED panels, the thermal solution has been optimized to improve airflow to the APU, maintaining lower surface temperatures.
The ROG XBOX Ally X20, inspired by classic XBOX controller designs, features a Transforming D-Pad that can shift from a four-way to an eight-way control for fighting games. Its improved face buttons are flush against the chassis for better thumb sliding, and a rubberized coating on the handgrips enhances comfort during prolonged use. Additionally, the next-gen model incorporates TMR joystick technology, providing precise control, reduced drift, and improved responsiveness, making it ideal for serious gaming on the go.
Combined with the incredible performance and efficiency of the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor, plus 24GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage, the ROG XBOX Ally X20 is ready for a large library of modern games. With the ROG XBOX Ally X20, players can even access Auto SR preview, designed to make games look sharper and play smoother. Previously reserved for Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs, Auto SR can efficiently upscale frames rendered at lower resolutions to deliver smooth gameplay on larger screens without losing sharpness, letting users dock their gameplay to the big screen without having to compromise FPS.

The ROG XBOX Ally X20 pulls out all the stops with a premium bundle featuring the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses. Whether at home or on-the-go, the ROG R1 steps up gaming immersion with a 171-inch virtual screen at 4 meters, a 240Hz display that covers 95% of the focused field of view, with a near-instantaneous 0.01ms response time thanks to micro-OLED. Native 3DoF tracking allows the screen to follow head movements, and Anchor Mode keeps it in one place as you play.
The glasses plug directly into the Ally with a single USB Type-C cable for an ultra-simple setup. With smooth Command Center integration and a matching black and gold colorway, this pairing creates the ultimate mobile gaming battlestation.
