Iya Villania gave followers a glimpse of her musical side and reflected on how practice helps one’s skills stay sharp.
On Instagram, the Kapuso host shared a reel of herself at the piano playing a church song and candidly admitted that her playing is not quite what it used to be.
“When you let a skill go to waste coz you didn’t practice,” Iya wrote.
She went on to poke fun at her sight-reading abilities.
“What poor poor sight reading. At least I’m still better than my kids… for now at least. But maybe not for long. Yes, we like competition here,” she said.
“I see Alana watching me play from the side and I know she’s onto me! So now I’m motivated to keep playing. I could’ve used this kind of motivation 30 years ago,” she added with laughing emojis.
Iya also shared that Alana would randomly ask to practice on the piano, something that makes her kilig.
“Kids! Let this be a lesson. Use it or lose it. You don’t want to learn it the hard way,” she said.
Last February, Iya celebrated her 12th wedding anniversary with Drew Arellano.
Aside from Alana, they have four more kids together: Primo, Leon, Astro, and Anya.
