SWS: Sara Maintains 54% Satisfaction Rating

Although Duterte was able to maintain a positive net satisfaction rating, it was already significantly down from her record-high “excellent” +77 in December 2022.

Despite the ongoing impeachment proceedings against her, Vice President Sara Duterte was able to maintain a majority satisfaction rating in the latest survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey, conducted from March 24 to 31, showed that 54 percent of the respondents were satisfied with the performance of the Vice President, similar to the poll conducted in November 2025.

Twenty-five percent were dissatisfied with Duterte, almost similar to the 26 percent in the previous poll, while undecided respondents increased from 18 percent to 21 percent.

The latest survey resulted in a net satisfaction rating of “moderate” +29, one point above the “moderate” +28 that Duterte obtained in November 2025.

The net satisfaction rating is obtained by subtracting those who said they were satisfied from those who were dissatisfied with the performance of the government official.

The SWS survey classifies net satisfaction ratings of at least +70 as “excellent”; +50 to +69 as “very good”; +30 to +49 as “good”; +10 to +29 as “moderate”; +9 to -9 as “neutral”; -10 to -29 as “poor”; -30 to -49 as “bad”; -50 to -69 as “very bad”; and -70 and below as “execrable.”

Although Duterte was able to maintain a positive net satisfaction rating, it was already significantly down from her record-high “excellent” +77 in December 2022.

Still, she is still faring better than President Marcos, who saw his net satisfaction rating plunge to his personal record-low “poor” -15 (33 percent satisfied, 49 percent dissatisfied, rounded off) in the latest SWS survey.

Duterte is currently facing an impeachment trial over alleged misuse of confidential funds, unexplained wealth and her supposed threats against the President, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and former speaker Martin Romualdez.

Other officials

The latest SWS survey found that 44 percent of the respondents were satisfied with then Senate president Vicente Sotto III. Twenty-eight percent were dissatisfied, while 26 percent were undecided.

Sotto’s net satisfaction rating hardly moved from +16 in November to +15 in the latest survey.

He has since been replaced by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate President.

Speaker Bojie Dy, meanwhile, obtained a net satisfaction rating of +4, composed of 32 percent who said they were satisfied with his performance and 28 percent who were dissatisfied. The remaining 32 percent were undecided.

Dy’s net satisfaction rating hardly moved from +5 in the previous poll.

Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo also maintained his net satisfaction of +9, composed of 35 percent who were satisfied, 26 percent dissatisfied and 30 percent who were undecided of his performance.

The survey had 1,500 respondents and a margin of error of plus/minus three percent.
