The Ferrari Luce will feature a new cockpit design using custom Samsung OLED displays, combining digital screens with physical moving parts to create a more layered dashboard experience.

Designed by former Apple design chief Sir Jony Ive through his company LoveFrom, the Ferrari Luce will use multiple Samsung-made OLED displays across different parts of the vehicle.

The car has three digital display zones using four screen sizes: 12.9-inch, 12-inch, 10.1-inch, and 6.3-inch panels. One of its key features is Samsung’s Hole In Active Area (HIAA) technology, which allows physical parts to pass through the display itself.

The driver’s instrument cluster uses two stacked OLED panels. A 12-inch display sits below a 12.9-inch panel with three large cutouts, allowing physical needles to move through the screen. Samsung says these holes are much larger than what is normally used on smartphone displays.

The center control panel uses a 10.1-inch OLED display with configurable functions such as a clock, stopwatch, and compass. It also includes three physical hands moving through the display.

Rear passengers will also get 6.3-inch OLED panels for climate controls and vehicle information.

According to Ferrari, the goal is to combine traditional cockpit elements with newer display technology. The Ferrari Luce is expected to carry a price tag of around €550,000.
