The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) reported a peaceful and orderly Labor Day observance on May 1, with no major incidents recorded citywide.

Police under Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio, in coordination with Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte and partner agencies, deployed police personnel in key convergence areas to ensure public safety, manage crowd movement, and maintain order during Labor Day activities.

“We extend our gratitude to all stakeholders, including the Quezon City Local Government, volunteer groups, and the general public, for their support in maintaining peace and order during the Labor Day observance,” PBGEN Silvio said.

District headquarters personnel were placed on standby as the District Reactionary Standby Support Force (DRSSF) to respond to any emergency or security concern.

The QCPD said it will remain on full alert and continue monitoring related activities under the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas program to sustain public safety and security across the city.
